Why go
Sololaki is best explored as a neighbourhood rather than a checklist of façades. Streets rising from Freedom Square reveal carved doorways, decorative stonework, balconies and buildings from different periods side by side.
The area is still residential, which is part of its character. Walk slowly, look up, and let the public streets set your route. An ornate doorway is not an invitation to enter a private stairwell or courtyard.
