Why visit
Kokhta and Mitarbi offer a different mountain day from Didveli. The tourism board points more experienced skiers toward these slopes, while Kokhta's map distinguishes the plateau, upper mountain and routes toward Mitarbi. Choose a starting area for the terrain you want, not simply to collect another resort name.
What to expect
MTA's Bakuriani pass covers its three ski areas, but the pass does not move you between their road entrances. A satisfying day can stay within one area, especially when a connection is closed or outside your ability. If you do use a connection toward Mitarbi, know which lift takes you back and where your transfer will collect you.
Choose the base before the transfer
Give the driver the exact lift entrance rather than asking only for Bakuriani. If your day finishes at a different base, arrange the collection point in advance.
Treat the connections as conditional
A route shown toward Mitarbi is useful only when the connecting terrain and lifts are open and appropriate for you. Plan a satisfying day within the starting area if the connection is unavailable.
Plan your visit
Before you go
Check the Kokhta and Mitarbi maps and lift status with MTA, including any connection and last return. Confirm which base your transfer serves. Stay on open marked terrain and choose instruction rather than using an unfamiliar connection beyond your ability.
Allow extra time
Visit times are estimates for this activity only. Travel, queues and breaks are extra.
