Why go
The Chronicle of Georgia stands high above Tbilisi Sea, the city's large reservoir. Its sculpted columns bring episodes of Georgian history and religious imagery together on a dramatic scale; the view across the water adds to the sense of place.
Give the monument its own outing from central Tbilisi. The exposed hilltop and steps make it a different visit from an old-town stroll; allow time to see both the carved pillars and the reservoir view.
