Why go
The Peter and Paul monastery stands on a rocky height a few kilometres from Bolnisi. Its present church was built over the foundations of an earlier one, and the courtyard opens onto a broad town view.
It remains an active religious community. Use the paved approach, keep the visit quiet and leave the refectory and residential spaces to the monks.
