Why go
Khino's monastery complex was once an episcopal centre in the Kintrishi valley. Only parts of the old church survive, so the setting and historical role are as important as the ruins.
This is a separate heritage visit from the Tamar Bridge and waterfall routes. Plan the mountain road carefully and respect any active religious use.
