Why visit
Kobuleti's protected peatlands give a coastal stay a different landscape from the beach. Visit Ajara identifies the Ispani 2, White Moss and Drosera visitor paths, with sphagnum moss and wetland wildlife as the focus. Bring binoculars if birds interest you, but take time to look closely at the plants and peatland itself.
What to expect
Choose a currently open route through the visitor centre and stay on the marked path. This is sensitive ground, not a place to improvise an off-trail walk or expect a particular bird sighting. Conditions and access may change after weather or conservation work.
