Why go
The National Botanical Garden rises behind the old town, close to Abanotubani. Paths follow the Tsavkisistskali River through planted collections and a steep-sided gorge, with a waterfall and bridges giving the walk a destination beyond the city streets.
Treat this as time outdoors rather than a quick photo stop. The climb to the main entrance and the paths inside add up, so choose a route that fits your energy and the weather. It is a separate garden visit, even if you begin your day near the sulfur baths.
Before you go
Check current entrance, opening hours and admission before going. Wear shoes for sloping paths and carry water in hot weather.
Allow extra time
Visit times are estimates for this activity only. Travel, queues and breaks are extra.
