Why go
The Ninoskhevi Waterfall route starts from the Gurgeniani information centre, away from Lagodekhi's main visitor-centre path. It follows the river through forest and calls for a fuller hiking day than the short interpretation path.
Expect narrow, uneven sections and conditions that change after rain. The waterfall is the destination, but the river corridor is much of the pleasure; turn back if crossings or footing are unsafe rather than treating the end point as a promise.
Before you go
Confirm the trail is open, current route time and river conditions with the protected-areas administration. Wear hiking footwear, start with daylight to spare and arrange the return from Gurgeniani.
