Why go
Rukhi Fortress was built under Levan II Dadiani as a defensive and trading stronghold. Its surviving walls stand in a lowland setting unlike the princely palace in Zugdidi.
Give the ruins a separate visit and stay clear of unstable masonry. The site lies outside town, so plan a return vehicle.
