Why go
Sighnaghi's lanes and fortress walls sit high above the Alazani Valley. The best part of this outing is the combination: a stretch of wall, a turn through the town, then another open view toward the valley and the Caucasus beyond.
Only some sections of the wall have a visitor path, so treat this as a town walk with a wall segment rather than a continuous circuit. The streets slope and the surfaces can be uneven; leave time for the walk itself rather than hurrying through for a single viewpoint.
