Why go
Zarzma's present church and bell tower date mainly from the early fourteenth century. Painted interiors and the valley setting distinguish it from Sapara near Akhaltsikhe.
This is a substantial excursion outside town, so allow time for both roads and site. Worship can affect access to the interior.
