Poti's planned streets and working-port identity give it a different rhythm from Georgia's beach resorts. The central cathedral and nineteenth-century lighthouse are two distinct pieces of the city's built history. Nearby Lake Paliastomi belongs to Kolkheti National Park, where a managed boat trip opens a view of the wetland landscape. Use Poti as the base for that contrast, and confirm boat availability and conditions rather than assuming a walk-up sailing.

Late spring and early autumn can suit city walking and birdwatching around the wetlands. Boat operation depends on park arrangements and weather; check the current service and forecast for your date.
Getting there
Reach Poti by road or rail from western Georgian cities. Kutaisi Airport is a flight-search gateway, not an airport in Poti. Confirm the national-park departure point and return transport separately from any walk around the city centre.
